The son or Rea. Possible, but not for sure. Also, local, 'of Rasen.' It is likely that the suffix is not '-son,' but the diminutive '-on' or '-in,' as in Mari-in, Rod-in, etc. Possibly it is the diminutive of the once popular Rose, of which the German diminutive was Roschen, the French Rosine, and the later English Rosanne.
